核因子-KB(Nuclear factor-kappa B, NF-KB)蛋白家族是一种多效的转录因子,可以与多种启动子部位的KB位点发生特异性结合,从而促使其转录表达。其受氧化应激、细菌脂多糖、细胞因子等多种刺激而活化后,调控前炎症性细胞因子、细胞表面受体、转录因子、粘附分子等生成。

并与抑制性的IkB蛋白形成复合物,
当IkB磷酸化之后,NFkB被释放,
并转位到细胞核。
NFkB在凋亡和细胞存活上有着矛盾
的功能,NFkB通过抑制p53依赖的
凋亡和上调Bcl-2家族的抗凋亡成员
和caspase抑制剂(如XIAP和FLIP),
介导了许多信号的存活反应。相反,
NFkB也被DNA损伤中的凋亡刺激所
激活,介导了促凋亡基因(如TRAIL
R2/DR5、Fas和Fas配体)的上调。
